In an interview with EIR Asia specialist Mike Billington about President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs, Virginia State Senator and ex- Pentagon head attorney Richard Black revealed that the Americans as well as other nations should never obstruct and just respect the Filipino culture because Filipinos know more of just what their very own country needs.
Black even stated that the Americans tend to impose their believed “higher intellect” on some other cultures.
Black was a chief in the criminal law department in the Pentagon.
The senator claimed that Dutere was previously mayor in a lawless city and also he was violent to criminals, so bringing law and also order into the city.
That’s the reason why he declared that majority of Filipinos voted for him.
“The people of the Philippines elected Rodrigo Duterte since they wanted law and order, and he gave it to them. They have chosen a very strong ruler.”
He stated the Chinese provided help, while the US offered condemnation.
“It would be a shame to lose our alliance with the Philippines” the senator stated.
